while planning her wedding, our founder was devoted to providing her attendees with a one of a kind experience that both sparked connections between guests & the local community. after working in philanthropy for over a decade, katherine wanted her wedding to not only give back to the local community, but engage guests with the causes closest to her and her future husband’s hearts. she set-up a charitable wedding registry, planned a volunteer event before the welcome party, and then thought, "how can favors be elevated to make them both impactful as well as part of the weekend’s experience?"
over the next two years, katherine interviewed event planners across the country regarding favors and how they are viewed by today’s party planners and attendees. over the course of time, she discovered a way that they could both provide a surprising and delightful experience as well as reduce waste and connect guests with charitable organizations. thus began the kind favor.
